“To the depths and beyond…”

If you already have a PADI Open Water certification (or equivalent from another organization), the PADI Advanced Open Water Diver course is designed to sharpen your diving skills, build your confidence and expand your depth limit to 30m / 100 ft.

A little bit of theory and 5 adventure dives will be covered in these 2 days of adventure. (2 mandatory subjects: Deep diving, Underwater navigation and 3 electives from Boat diving, Search and Recovery, Drift diving, Fish identification and Peak performance buoyancy.)

Including :

  • Speciality theory development
  • 4 boat dives in Catalinas island
  • PADI private instructor (max 4 people)
  • All needed equipment and course materials
  • PADI certification and instructor fees
  • Fruits, snacks and drinks on board.

What is the schedule?

Day 1. 6.45am - 12.30pm

- Meeting your instructor at the dive shop and completion of the paperwork

- Theory - Speciality knowledge development

- Riding to Catalinas Island and enjoying the ocean views. (45-50 min)

- Adventure dives 1-2-3 - two tanks and two different dives sites.

Day 2. 6.45am - 12.30pm

- Meeting at the dive shop.

- Riding to Catalinas Island and enjoying the ocean views. (45-50 min)

- Adventure dives 4-5 - two tanks and two different dives sites.

How long does it take?

This is a 2 day course generally between 6:30am and 12:30pm (see schedule above.)

What do I need to participate?

- Being certified PADI Open water or equivalent (SSI, SDI, NAUI, CMAS… )

- Minimum age 12 years old.

- In accordance with the safety rules we will kindly ask you to complete this medical form before starting the program. (Please read it before signing up)

What do I need to bring?

- Proof of certification and log book if you own one.

- Swimsuit, hat and sunblock

- Motivation and your best mood

Where and when do we meet?

- You will receive a message / email with the meeting point instructions.

- We organize pick up from the Tamarindo area please let us know your location in advance (charges may apply).

Other important information

- Plan a minimum of 18 hours after your diving course to take any flight.

- Pick up times may vary and will be discussed with you.
