Discover Scuba Diving tour
Your first taste of the underwater world
First time diving? No worries, this program is made for you.
The Discover Scuba Diving Program is a highly supervised dive experience that will allow you to go scuba diving with no previous experience.
Including :
- Two dives around Catalinas Islands
- PADI Private instructor (max 4 people)
- Pre-dive training (in a pool on request*)
- All needed equipment
- Fruits, snacks and drinks on board
What will we do?
- Meeting your instructor, trying the equipment and discuss the basis of scuba diving
- Riding to Catalinas Island and enjoying the ocean views. (45-50 min)
- After practicing a few basic skills at the surface to make you feel at ease we will do 2 open water dives.
- We will explore the dive sites looking for rays, turtles, octopus, sharks and a great variety of tropical fishes.
- Have fun swimming around and enjoying the wonderful feeling of breathing underwater.
How long does it take?
This is a half day tour usually from 6.45am to 12:30 pm.
*If you request a pool session it takes 30-45 min and need to be done prior to the tour in that case we will start at 6 a.m (or
have the session days prior to the tour -> depending on availability )
What do I need to participate?
- No swimming skills are needed!
- Being at least 10 years old.
- In accordance with the safety rules we will kindly ask you to complete this
medical form
before starting the program.
What should I bring?
We provide what you need to enjoy the tour so you just have to bring a swimsuit, towels and sun-protection (sunhats, sunglasses… etc)
Where and when do we meet?
- You will receive an email / message with the meeting point instructions.
-We organize pick up from the Tamarindo area please let us know your location in advance (charges may apply).
- In case of a pool session ; time and location will be decided with you. (If your accommodation has a pool, a home session is
possible on request.)
Other important information
- Plan a minimum of 18 hours after your diving tour to take any flight.
- Pick up times may vary and will be discussed with you.
